Rosalía will grace the Barcelona shirts as part of the club's sponsorship partnership with Spotify.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the release of Rosalía's 'Motomami', the Grammy Award-winning album's logo will grace Barcelona's shirts for the match against Real Madrid in El Clásico.
Rosalía will become the first artist to appear on both the men's and women's jerseys as part of the Barcelona and Spotify partnership. The limited edition jersey with the 'Motomami' logo will also be available for purchase.
Rosalía follows in Drake's footsteps. In October, Barcelona put the owl logo of Drake's OVO label on the front of their men's team jersey for the El Clásico match, marking the famous rapper becoming the first artist to surpass 50 billion streams on Spotify.
"We are honored to dedicate our space on the Barcelona soccer team jersey to honor Rosalía – the most streamed Spanish artist on Spotify in 2022," said Marc Hazan, Spotify's vice president of partnerships.
"It's an opportunity to continue to celebrate our unique partnership with Barcelona and to continue to bring the worlds of football and music together," he added.
In 2022, Rosalía was the most streamed Spanish artist in the world on Spotify, with streams of her songs increasing by more than 110% year-on-year, while she was also the most streamed female artist in Barcelona, according to the streaming service.
Juli Guiu, Barcelona's vice president of marketing, added: "Seeing such a famous artist as Rosalía in the beloved Barça jersey is a wonderful surprise for our fans around the world."
"Music and football are a special partnership with a long future ahead of them and we are delighted to add another chapter to the story together with the world's most popular music streaming platform, Spotify," he said.
The El Clásico match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be played on March 19. The Barcelona women's team will then wear the 'Motomami' shirts in their own match on March 25.
Players from both teams will also curate 'El Clásico Matchday' playlists, choosing songs to fuel them during their match preparation.
The lists will, of course, include their favorite songs from Rosalía.
Rosalía's "Motomami" reached No. 3 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. It also won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. This week, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro announced that a new EP entitled 'RR' will be released on March 24th.
