Selena Gomez confirms the recent rumors and releases a brand new Spanish song entitled "De Una Vez".
A year after the release of "Rare", which gave her her third consecutive Billboard 200 debut, Selena Gomez decided to explore her roots deeper and connect with her ancestors through music.
Although she was born to a Mexican father and took her name from popular tejano singer Selena Quintanilla, the 28-year-old pop star's involvement with Latin music was really rare.
In 2010 she released the single "Un Año Sin Lluvia", the Spanish version of the song "A Year Without Rain" from her self-titled album with The Scene, while in 2018 we heard her sing a small part in Spanish in the hit "Taki Taki "by DJ Snake.
"I am incredibly proud of my Latin past. "It gave me strength to sing in Spanish and 'De Una Vez' is a very beautiful love anthem," said Selena Gomez.
"This is the beginning of something I have wanted to explore for a long time now. "I hope you love it as much as I do," he added on social media.
The production of the rhythmic pop song "De Una Vez", which is released by Interscope Records / Universal Music, has been edited by Tainy, Albert Hype, Jota Rosa and NEON16. True to her artistic vision, the pop star commissioned Latin Americans to direct the music video for "De Una Vez".
The duo of Los Pérez (Tania Verduzco & Adrián Pérez) transported Selena Gomez to a fairytale house where each room represents a part of its evolution.
Towards the end of the video, the words "Baila Conmigo" appear on the screen, with the singer thus confirming the well-founded suspicions that there will be two Spanish-language songs that will be released.
