Pedro Capó - La Fiesta

"La Fiesta" highlights Pedro Capó's unusual, though beautifully optimistic, view of death.
Award-winning singer and songwriter Pedro Capó from Puerto Rico releases his new single "La Fiesta".

This light pop song does not present death as a tragedy, but as a reason to celebrate the life we have been given.

Following the latest single from "Gracias", the release of "La Fiesta" perfectly sums up this new phase of Pedro Capó's career, which is characterized by contemplation, celebration and fun.

"La Fiesta", written by Pedro Capó himself, highlights his unusual, albeit beautifully optimistic, view of death.

This eclectic pop song, produced by George Noriega, plays with the idea of what Pedro's funeral would be like. It is characterized by joy and cheerfulness and its lyrics describe Pedro's ideal funeral as a party full of music, dance and love.

"La Fiesta" deals extremely well with an issue that so many fear and does so in an optimistic and happy way.

The music video for the song is inspired by the painting "El Velorio" by the iconic Puerto Rican painter Francisco Oller.

"It was very important for me to write a song that talks about death in a happy way. I think most of us view death with fear and this song wants to overturn that idea. "I worked with an incredible band that shares the same mentality and you will feel that when you listen to this song," said Pedro Capó.

Pedro Capó will appear at "El Coliseo" in Puerto Rico on May 7. This concert will mark the beginning of his 2022 tour, which will continue in various cities in the United States, such as Boston, New York and Washington, among others.

Early in his career, singer, songwriter and actor Pedro Capó gained worldwide recognition with his song "Calma", the original version of which won the 2019 Latin Grammy Award for Song of the Year and its remix with his participation Farruko won the Latin Grammy for Best Urban / Fusion Performance.

"Calma" became a double diamond in Mexico, a diamond in the US and Peru, and a multi-platinum diamond in Latin America and Europe. Pedro Capó participated in the closing ceremony of the Copa América 2019 in Rio de Janeiro, where he performed "Calma" together with the Brazilian star Anitta.

In September 2020, Pedro Capó released his fourth album, "Munay". The title of the album means "love" in the Quechua language and its idea focuses on love in all its forms. His most mature and personal work to date includes 11 songs produced by the legendary George Noriega.
