Diplo and Mark Ronson bring the Grammy-winning duo of Silk City back into action and meet Ellie Goulding in the new song "New Love".
Silk City takes its name from the restaurant in Philadelphia, USA, where the two DJs and music producers first met 20 years ago.
After decades of friendship, Diplo and Mark Ronson entered the studio in 2018 to collaborate for the first time with the intention of paying tribute to the house, disco and dance sounds that have served as inspiration for both of them throughout their lives. .
"New Love" is the first release of Silk City after their collaboration with Dua Lipa on the single "Electricity", in 2018, with which they won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
"I'm always excited to be back in the studio with Mark. "We are constantly exchanging ideas from the beginning of Silk City and we have finally found the time to bring some of them to life," says Diplo.
"We came up with this classic song and Ellie was kind enough to lend her voice," she adds.
"I love the music that comes out when we're with Wes," says Mark Ronson, commenting on "New Love." "It 's fine to be different from anything else I're preparing."
