Lil Nas X's new single "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" makes its solemn debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

This is the rapper's second song to dominate the number one spot in the United States and his first to top his debut.

Lil Nas was first found in No. 1 of the Hot 100 with the decisive for the beginning of his career success "Old Town Road" in collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus, who set a historical record by remaining for 19 weeks at No. 1 of the chart in 2019.

According to MRC Data, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" recorded 46.9 million streams and 21,000 downloads in the US market in its first week of release.

"Montero (Call Me By Your Name)", which was released by Columbia Records / Sony Music along with a much-discussed music video on March 26, is the fifth Lil Nas X song to enter the Hot 100.

Among the firsts of "Old Town Road" and "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)", in the ranking have appeared "Rodeo" in collaboration with Cardi B and Nas (which reached No. 22 in July 2019), "Panini" (No. 5, September 2019) and "Holiday" (No. 37, November 2020).

"Montero (Call Me By Your Name)", whose title refers to the rapper's real name, Montero Lamar Hill, begs the question: "Do you truly love your neighbor as yourself to call him? your name;".
