Busta Rhymes - Where I Belong ft. Mariah Carey

April 17, 2021

The two artists reunite their forces, almost two decades after their first collaboration.
Busta Rhymes reconnects with Mariah Carey on the occasion of the music video for their new duet "Where I Belong".

The video, which focuses on footage of the dynamic duo singing, is a sequel to the clip for the two artists' favorite song "I Know What You Want" released in 2002.

"I live for the nostalgia of this new collaboration with my friend, the iconic Busta!" Mariah Carey wrote in a Twitter message.

"Where I Belong" is one of the songs included on Busta Rhymes' latest album, "Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God", which was released in late October and debuted at No. 7 of the Billboard 200, proving the timelessness of the American rapper.

Apart from Mariah Carey, guests of Busta Rhymes in his New album are first-class and experienced names of the music scene and especially of the hip-hop scene such as Kendrick Lamar, Anderson. Paak, Q-Tip, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige , Rapsody, Rakim, Pete Rock and Vybz Karte, among others.

"The past is an animal that chases you forever… The past chases you until it catches you…", says Busta Rhymes in the introduction to the video for "Where I Belong", taking a brief look at his clip "I Know What You Want ».

The video progresses almost two decades later and reaches Trippie Redd's last attack on the clip for his collaboration with Busta Rhymes on the single "I Got You" (September 2020), before taking over "Where I Belong", where Mariah Carey captivates the eyes with her leather mini dress.
