Rihanna has revealed that she abstained from alcohol throughout 2024.
The 36-year-old singer and entrepreneur shared the news in a candid selfie video posted to Instagram on Tuesday night. The clip showed Rihanna and her friends celebrating in a New York City hotel room, counting down to midnight while watching the iconic ball drop in Times Square.
After welcoming the New Year, the "Don't Stop the Music" star enthusiastically announced to the camera, "Y'all, I didn't drink all year! I didn't drink all year." She also added a playful caption: "New Year, New Me."
Rihanna marked the occasion in New York City alongside her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, and their two sons, RZA, 2, and Riot, 1.
While the pop icon hasn't disclosed her plans for 2025, fans flooded the comments section of her post, eagerly asking about a potential album. One fan quipped, "New album too huh," while another joked, "I thought it was the countdown for the album drop."
Rihanna's last album, Anti, was released in 2016, and although she's hinted at a new project—nicknamed R9 by fans—she has yet to share any concrete details.
