Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did not speak for eight months after the divorce

Kim Kardashian claims she has not spoken to Kanye West for eight months since she filed for divorce in February 2021.

"We moved away and met again and it went on for about eight months without even talking to each other at the beginning of the divorce," she said during her "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast with Amanda Hirsch.

"Then we started talking again and I went to the premiere of 'Donda,'" she continued, adding that Kanye West was still going to her house to see their four children.

"We took some time and did not talk and I think that in relationships this is how it is done. "I just hope we can raise our children together at the end of the day."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West first met after filing for divorce in July 2021 for a family trip to San Francisco with their children, 8-year-old North, 6-year-old Saint, 4-year-old Chicago and 2-year-old Psalm.

A few days later, they all attended the audition for Kanye West's "Donda" album in Atlanta.

Kim Kardashian, who was legally released in March, said she experienced a first-hand divorce when her own mother, Kris Jenner, divorced her late father, Robert Kardashian, after 13 years of marriage.

"I look back and my mother and father went through their own difficult times. "People need some time to adjust and I have seen it all before."

Kim Kardashian also clarified that while they had their ups and downs with Kanye West, they still have "a lot of love" for each other.

"We are always a family. We will always have a lot of love and we love our children and we both love the moments we spent together. "I think we will always have that and we will always appreciate it, and sometimes it just doesn't work for whatever reason," he said.

Kim Kardashian also briefly covered Kanye West's delusions on social media against herself and her new partner, Pete Davidson.

"The fact that he expressed himself in a certain way, he is not an amazing person and an amazing friend. I believe we will experience this again. "I am always very optimistic and he is also an amazing dad," he said.

"I never really judge the way someone wants to communicate. Whether it's the way I would do it or not, like, I know who's in it. I know what he wants to say and I know what he wants to say and that is the beauty of knowing someone for so many years ", he continued.

"It can be stressful and a lot of things can be done, but I think you have to be positive when you have children," he said.

However, Kim Kardashian admitted that it is "embarrassing" when "fans are involved" in a divorce that has attracted attention.

"He has such supportive and amazing, strong fans. Just because two people are no longer together does not mean that they should not like me now, and that my fans should not dislike him. It just is not so, there should not be all this external controversy. "It is already quite difficult for families to get a divorce, especially in public," he said.

"What's awful is that everyone will see that at some point everything will be fine again, so there is no reason to interfere because there is so much love there," said Kim Kardashian.
