"I realized how expensive it is to start a family and how many parents find it difficult to buy the things they need," explains Halsey.
Halsey supports new parents who can't afford what a baby needs when he or she is born.

The 26-year-old singer, who is pregnant with her first child, posted a video on Instagram announcing her collaboration with the Babylist website to create a list of her favorite baby products.

Halsey encourages her followers to donate to Baby2Baby through The Great Group Gift initiative, to which both she and Babylist have already donated $ 100,000.

"As I'm sure most of you, some of you, may not know it, you already know I'm too pregnant," Halsey said in the video, indicating she is in an advanced stage of pregnancy.

"One of the most difficult things about preparing for this baby was trying to figure out what I needed to buy. "I knew I needed a place to eat, a place to sleep, a safe, good car seat, but beyond that I was quite irrelevant," he explained.

"The internet is full of a lot of information and options," he added, describing why Babylist was "useful" in creating a list of essential products.

By the time her friends, fans and colleagues started asking if she had a baby gift list, Halsey had already bought everything she needed. But he had the idea to contact the Babylist and help those in need.

"Fortunately I was lucky enough to be able to buy what I needed, but during the process I realized how expensive it is to start a family and how many parents out there are probably having a hard time buying the things they need," he continued.

"We decided to work together to create a website where you could donate a gift or donate a sum of money that is going to go to a family or parents in need. "Baby2Baby is an amazing organization that we work with and offers these resources to these families," he explained.

The money from the donations will be used to buy products such as diapers, powdered milk, blankets, new clothes, sanitary ware and portable cots for families in need.

"I hope you find it in your heart so that you can give back to some people who are really having a hard time. It was such an incredible process and I felt connected to so many people that I do not even know why we all live the same experience at the same time. I'm so grateful to Babylist for helping me put this together. "And I'm so grateful to Baby2Baby for what she does."
