Halsey is preparing her new album.
Halsey gave her fans a little idea of the direction she wants to take with her next album.
Last week, Halsey took to social media to answer several questions from her fans, one of which was about the progress of her new album and its sound.
"As of right now, I'm approaching it pretty much the way I approached 'Manic,'" she replied, referring to her third album, which was released in 2020.
“No strict parameters in terms of genre or anything. I just do what feels good and what's important to me," he explained.
Halsey added that the album so far contains "some of the best songs she's written."
"A lot has happened in my life since I wrote the last album," he noted.
In her latest release, Halsey recently teamed up with BTS' Suga to release a new version of the song 'Lilith' for the video game 'Diablo IV'.
"Lilith" was originally featured on Halsey's Grammy-nominated album "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" due out in 2021. The new version of "Lilith" features a brand new verse from the BTS rapper.
Last month, it was announced that Halsey had signed a new record deal with Sony Music's Columbia Records, following the termination of her partnership with Capitol Records.
In April, the singer's managers, Jason Aron and Anthony Li of Anti-Pop, confirmed that Halsey had left Capitol Records after eight years and emphasized that she had new music in the works.
Although no official explanation was given for her departure from Capitol Records' Astralwerks, the 28-year-old singer had clashed with the label over the release of her song 'So Good'.
Halsey released her latest album, If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, in August 2021, a month after she and ex-partner Alev Aydin had son Ender.
This April, the singer split with Alev Aydin and asked for "full physical custody" of Ender, who is now almost two years old.
