Dua Lipa has found the title and sound of her new album: 'It's different'

Dua Lipa's new album will be 'sonically different'.

As 2022 draws to a close, Dua Lipa is already making plans for what's to come next year.

While the pop star admits to feeling a little nostalgic seeing her 'Future Nostalgia' album fade into the past, she continues to feverishly prepare her third album.

He also edits the service-oriented lifestyle newsletter Service95 and hosts a weekly podcast called At Your Service.

On the podcast, he has hosted a wide range of personalities, from Iraqi Nobel Peace Prize laureate Nadia Murad and American civil rights activist Bryan Stevenson to Monica Lewinsky, Dita von Teese and Elton John.

During her podcast interview with Elton John in March, Dua Lipa said she's halfway done with her new album, but as she reveals to Variety, the follow-up "took a completely different turn."

"Well, when I was talking to Elton I really felt like I was halfway done," he said, laughing.

“But it took a completely different turn as I continued to work and I really feel now that it's starting to sound coherent. So I'll keep writing in the first few months of the new year and see where it takes me," he added.

Dua Lipa then revealed that her new record will move to different sounds than 'Future Nostalgia', but emphasized that she is not going to lose her pop character.

Also, the 27-year-old singer confirmed that she has already decided on the title of her new album.

"The album is different, it's still pop, but it's different sonically, and there are more lyrical themes," he explained, adding: "If I told you the title, it would all make sense, but I think we'll have to wait."

Dua Lipa will now have more time to rest and continue preparing her new album with greater comfort, as this week she finished her "Future Nostalgia Tour" with a big concert in the main square of Tirana on Monday 28 November.
