Camila Cabello does not intend to give up music for acting.

The 24-year-old singer plays Cinderella in the new movie "Cinderella" of Amazon Prime Video, but although she liked that she presented a new version of her favorite fairy tale character, she does not believe that she will exchange pop music with the screen.

"With the film focusing so much on music, it was easier to get into things. I love movies and acting, but I love music and song so much. "One of the reasons I was so excited to make this film is that it allowed me to combine all these things," Camila Cabello told Deadline.

The message that screenwriter and director Kay Cannon seeks to get across the film is that people can become what they want to be.

Leaving behind traditional stereotypes, in the new version of the story Billy Porter impersonates the Cinderella fairy and Camila Cabello, who hails from Cuba and Mexico, gives life to the princess.

The singer says that it was an "honor" to play Cinderella, because the film "represents" everything she claims.

"It was really an honor for me to play Cinderella, everything that this film stands for, I also represent. Supports representation and diversity, dreams and independence and compassion. "All the things we have to talk about," he explained.

"This Cinderella has ambitions and big dreams for herself, they do not only concern the prince. I also believe that there are no good or bad people, we are all just complicated and we struggle with our own things. "These levels exist within this story and its characters."

With limited acting experience, Camila Cabello appreciated the fact that she could get advice from her more experienced co-stars, such as Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver and Idina Menzel, and hoped to have "a lifelong friend". In the person of Billy Porter.

"The biggest thing I learned was to be more flexible. Pierce Brosnan, for example, often improvised and never took the same shot twice. "He always did tests," he said.

"Working with Billy was really magical and I feel like I've made a friend for a lifetime. He is so kind and so true and so affectionate. "I loved the time we spent together," he added.
