Katy Perry - Not the End of the World

December 23, 2020

Katy Perry is collaborating with Zooey Deschanel for the needs of her new music video.

2020 was undoubtedly a year full of great challenges and unprecedented adversity, but Katy Perry reminds that "it is not the end of the world".

Katy Perry reveals the music video for the song "Not The End Of The World" from her new album "Smile" (Capitol Records / Universal Music) and sends a message of hope to the planet, always through her humorous look.

It is worth mentioning that "Not The End Of The World" uses samples from the song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" (1969) by the band Steam.

The music video for "Not The End Of The World" features American actress Zooey Deschanel and the script is based on her resemblance to Katy Perry, when the latter had long black hair about eight years ago.

A race of aliens who fanatically admire Katy Perry wants to save the singer from the impending self-destruction of Earth. But the aliens make a mistake because of the similarity of the two women and carry Zooey Deschanel on their spaceship.

Deschanel initially tries to explain that she has nothing to do with Katy Perry, but her efforts are not rewarded. She finally accepts her role and implements her plan for the salvation of planet Earth. A breath before the disaster, Zooey Deschanel disconnects the internet and averts disaster.

The music video for "Not The End Of The World" concludes with an intergalactic party sung by Katy Perry, in the spirit of the great coupling of the planets Jupiter and Saturn that will begin today, Monday, December 21st.
