Zara Larsson has claimed that the likes of Mariah Carey, Elton John, James Cameron, Quentin Tarantino and Leonardo DiCaprio have helped her on her new song.
Zara Larsson has managed to trick her fans into believing that Mariah Carey is on her new song.
The Swedish pop star returned on Friday, January 27 with new single 'Can't Tame Her' and pranked her followers on social media by claiming that pop diva Mariah Carey features on the song which was supposedly produced by Elton John.
Zara Larsson also told them that the music video for her song was co-directed by James Cameron and Quentin Tarantino and features Leonardo DiCaprio.
"A lot of Mariah's fans were like, 'Oh, we're going to tune in,' and they didn't really know it was a joke. Their responses were: “Wow, girl, you are so lucky. This is amazing,'" the 25-year-old singer told People.
"I hope they'll say now: 'It was great anyway. I will watch it again", she added about her new music video.
'Can't Tame Her' is Zara Larsson's first solo release since 2021's 'Poster Girl' and is a precursor to her new record.
"I feel like we're going a little bit all over the place, which is me," she said of her next album.
“It has higher highs in terms of energy than 'Poster Girl', but also lower lows in terms of calmness, emotion and sadness. It's very dynamic," he explained.
Zara Larsson even admitted that although she would love for her new songs to be successful, she is not putting any pressure on herself.
"I just think that this next album is a lot better than 'Poster Girl' and so I want to keep evolving and be a lot better and prove myself," she commented.
“I definitely always work towards commercial success, but I don't beat myself up too much because I know I'm very talented. It's just a matter of time before the world understands," he noted.
Zara Larsson has revealed that she is also planning a major world tour.
“I really wanted to do an indoor tour here in Scandinavia, which I did. I want to perform my songs live in front of people, so it will be incredible to do a big tour with this album,” he said.
