Eminem has hinted at the possibility of creating a joint album with 50 Cent, describing the idea as "great" and urging the pair to make it happen.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s Shade45, the 52-year-old rapper said, “That would be great. We just gotta stop bulls******* and just do it. I would never say it’s not possible.”
Earlier this year, Eminem confirmed he was working on new music, though it wasn’t tied to a collaborative project with 50 Cent. Still, he admitted that teaming up with his longtime collaborator for an album would be “crazy.”
He shared on Shade45: “I’m working on a little something.” Addressing the rumors about a joint project with the Candy Shop rapper, Eminem clarified: “I don’t know where that’s come from, but it’s crazy. I’m trying to get him to make a new album so bad. We need another 50 [Cent] album, like, really bad. 50’s been on a roll since the tour. I told him whatever the [redacted] he needs from me, I’m here. That [redacted] would be crazy, though—an album with me and him.”
Eminem played a pivotal role in launching 50 Cent’s career after discovering him in 2002 through his mixtape Guess Who’s Back?, eventually signing him to Shady Records.
Earlier this year, Eminem released his 12th studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), featuring popular tracks like Houdini, Tobey, and Somebody Save Me. He followed it up with an extended version of the album in September.
