The Weeknd has announced that his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, will be released early next year.
The Blinding Lights artist confirmed that the final installment of his musical trilogy will drop on January 24. To mark the occasion, he will host a special one-night-only show at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, on January 25.
In September, The Weeknd teased fans with several new tracks during a live-streamed performance in São Paulo, Brazil. The setlist included songs such as Dancing in the Flames, Regular, Runway, and Wake Me Up. He also collaborated with Anitta and Playboi Carti for a performance of São Paulo.
Hurry Up Tomorrow follows his previous albums, After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). Additionally, the singer stars in a film of the same name, alongside Barry Keoghan and Jenna Ortega.
The Weeknd had earlier revealed the album title in a reflective social media post.
"Yesterday was fourteen years ago..." the post began. "In a place where the seasons never changed, where time ceased to exist. But therein lays the problem. Today has felt like an endless spin, I keep distorting the truth, immune to the dizziness, numb to the nausea."
He continued: "More songs could help, but what do I have left to say? Woe is me in my gilded cage, right? The very thing that once made me invincible failed me on the world stage. A new trauma surfaced, opening floodgates. A new path awaits. When today ends, I'll discover who I am."
