Each episode of the documentary will focus on each of the four key members of the Rolling Stones.
The Rolling Stones will celebrate their 60th anniversary as a band with a four-episode documentary, "My Life as a Rolling Stone," which premieres Aug. 7 on US-based subscription channel Epix.
The new documentary will tell the story of the Rolling Stones in a unique way.
Each episode will be a one-on-one portrait of each of the band's four key members for most of its existence: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, the late Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood.
"My Life as a Rolling Stone" was directed by Oliver Murray and Clare Travenor, who have been involved with the Stones in the past.
Oliver Murray edited in 2019 the documentary "The Quiet One" for former bassist and co-founder of the band, Bill Wyman, while in 2010 Clare Travenor directed a TV tribute focusing on Keith Richards combined with the release of his autobiography , «Life».
"Exciting music documentaries have become a pillar of the original Epix program, and 'My Life as a Rolling Stone' is a perfect addition to this ensemble," said Epix President Michael Wright.
"This special documentary captures the raw and organic energy that characterizes the Rolling Stones and tells the fascinating, epic story of their journey. "I am excited that the audience will experience this legendary band like few have ever experienced before," he continued.
"Epix is the perfect home in the US for these dynamic and at the same time very personal portraits of Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie," added Mercury Studios CEO Alice Webb.
"As they celebrate 60 years, we could not be more proud that Epix viewers will have exclusive access to the Rolling Stones through these special tributes," he said.

In 2012, the Rolling Stones celebrated their 50th anniversary with another great documentary, "Crossfire Hurricane".
Directed by Brett Morgen, the film tells the story of the Stones until the early 1980s, using a vast amount of archival footage and audio interviews provided by each member of the band.
The Rolling Stones are currently performing the "Sixty" anniversary tour for its 60 years as a band.
The last concerts of the European part of the tour were postponed - while one concert was canceled, as Mick Jagger tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month.
The tour starts again tonight (June 21) from Milan, Italy, with another 10 shows scheduled for the end of July, including two major Rolling Stones appearances at London's BST Hyde Park Festival.
