Born and raised in New South Wales, The Kid LAROI is the first Australian-born artist to lead the Hot 100 since Sia (Adelaide-born) reigned for four weeks in August 2016 with "Cheap Thrills" starring Sean Paul.

In addition, The Kid LAROI is the first Australian-born male solo artist to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in 40 years, since Rick Springfield (born in South Wentworthville, Sydney) topped the charts on August 8. 1981, with "Jessie's Girl".

The Kid LAROI and Rick Springfield are the only two Australian solo male singles to have climbed to No. 1. 1 of the Hot 100.

Last week, The Kid LAROI's "F * ck Love" climbed to number one on the US Billboard 200, a year and two months after its initial release on July 24, 2020, recording a 409% increase in sales.
