The Canadian artist's huge success won the IFPI Global Digital Single Award, which is given to the song that has recorded the best performance on all digital platforms and includes downloads and streams on both subscription services and platforms supported by advertisements.

"Blinding Lights" was the second single from The Weeknd's "After Hours" album, which was released by XO / Republic Records / Universal Music in March 2020.

The song reached No. 1 in more than 30 countries, including Greece, where it completed 34 consecutive stays in the first place of the International Airplay Chart.

"Blinding Lights" also broke the record for the most weeks spent in the Top 5 and Top 10 of the American Billboard Hot 100 and was for four weeks in No. 1 of the specific chart.
