50 Cent's book on success in life and career is brought to the screen.
Two of the biggest names in TV are joining forces with Netflix for a new series.
Actor, rapper and businessman 50 Cent and actor, director and producer Kenya Barris ("Black-ish", "Grown-ish", "Mixed-ish") are preparing a TV series based on the best-selling book "The 50th Law" of the rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III.
This is a semi-autobiographical story about success in life and career based on only one principle: no fear.
The book includes anecdotes and teachings from historical figures such as Socrates, Napoleon, Sun Chu, Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X who played a major role in the development of 50 Cent, from his years on the streets of Queens, New York, when he went in and out of prison, at the time he decided to get involved in rap music and then his activity in companies and productions of films and TV series.
According to APE-MPE, the idea to transfer the book written by the idol of hip-hop culture together with Robert Greene was proposed to Kenya Barris by his collaborator Hale Rothstein.
Kenya Barris and Hale Rothstein are expected to write the script for the first episode of the series and will be executive producers under Barris' Khalabo Ink Society.
50 Cent will also be executive producer through G-Unit Film & Television.
