Taylor Swift's last performance resembled the 'final day of school'

Taylor Swift’s final show of The Eras Tour felt like “the last day of school,” according to Gracie Abrams, who opened for the pop superstar on the last leg of the tour. The emotional finale took place on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada, with tears and heartfelt moments shared backstage.

In an interview with Nylon magazine, Gracie described the poignant atmosphere: “Everyone had been crying all day. It felt like the last day of school backstage. Everyone was walking around with their [The Eras Tour] books, signing each other’s books. We were all walking around with Sharpies.”

The sentiment was echoed by tour dancer Kameron Saunders, who took to Instagram to express his emotions, admitting he hadn’t stopped crying since the final show. He shared a heartfelt message to Taylor, calling her an extraordinary leader: “Taylor! My girl! You have steered the HELL out of this ship. So gracefully!! With poise, confidence, heart, passion, kindness, utter bravery, and love!!!" He continued, “It has been the honor of my life to have been at your side night after night! ... I love you! Thank you!”

The Eras Tour was a monumental success, with Taylor performing 149 shows across five continents, selling over $2 billion in tickets, and entertaining more than 10 million fans. During her final performance, she expressed her gratitude to the audience, saying, “I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date, my beloved Eras Tour. Thank you for being with us tonight.”
