Taylor Swift Releases Four New Songs Ahead of 'The Eras Tour'

Taylor Swift shares three new recordings and an unreleased song.

Taylor Swift celebrates the launch of her highly anticipated sold out 'The Eras Tour' by releasing four new songs.

Taylor Swift releases the songs 'Eyes Open (Taylor's Version)', 'Safe & Sound (Taylor's Version)' featuring Joy Williams and John Paul White (ex-Civil Wars), 'If This Was A Movie ( Taylor's Version)' and 'All Of The Girls You Loved Before'.

Three of the songs are part of Taylor Swift's initiative to re-record the first six albums of her career, while the fourth song was previously unreleased.

"All Of The Girls You Loved Before" was recorded by Taylor Swift for her album "Lover" after she left Big Machine Label Group. The song went viral on TikTok last month after it was leaked online, with fans clamoring for its official release.

"Eyes Open" and "Safe & Sound" have never appeared on a Taylor Swift album, but were released on the soundtrack to the "Hunger Games" movies a decade ago.

In particular, they were included in "The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12" which was released in March 2012.

"If This Was A Movie" is one of the songs on Taylor Swift's third album, Speak Now (2010), the re-recording of which has yet to be announced.

Taylor Swift released the albums "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)" in 2021, which sold millions worldwide and reached No. 1 of the charts.

More details on "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" are expected to be announced soon.

Taylor Swift has decided to re-record her previous albums because the rights to them were sold to a private equity firm without her permission. This move was seen by Taylor Swift as a threat to her ability to make decisions about her own art.

By re-recording her albums, Taylor Swift has the opportunity to regain control of her music and create new, updated versions that reflect her own vision and artistic intent.

Taylor Swift kicks off her massive 'The Eras Tour', her first in five years, with two shows in Glendale, Arizona on March 17th and 18th, joined by Paramore and GAYLE.

Taylor Swift had originally announced 27 concerts in North America, and following overwhelming demand, she added eight more and then an additional 17 new concerts within two weeks, bringing the total number of "The Eras Tour" concerts to 52.
