Taylor Swift explains why "You Belong With Me" changed her life

Taylor Swift explains why she thinks "You Belong With Me" (2008) was the song that changed her life.

The pop star spoke to iHeartMedia radio stations about the release of "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and commented on some of the songs from her second full-length album, which is now available on a new recording.

"You Belong With Me" is a song that completely changed my life. "It was one of those songs I had written about one-sided love and casual love at school," he said.

And I could never have imagined how many people I would see one day in a crowd singing "she's wearing short skirts, I'm wearing t-shirts", or they could write articles about that song or that it would be the part that "It launched me and my career to a point where they never imagined I would get there," he admitted.

"It was this song and 'Love Story' that really changed my life in a huge way. "And I had a lot of fun with the fans singing it all these years," he said.

Taylor Swift also stood by the emotions that flooded her when she re-recorded "You Belong With Me".

"It was a really enjoyable experience to be able to do this song again. "Because I looked back at all those memories and thought, 'Wow, I'm really lucky,'" he said.
