As Tory Lanez supporters call for his release, SZA is taking a stand — and reminding everyone where the truth lies.
SZA isn’t staying silent. The SOS singer has publicly defended Megan Thee Stallion as the rapper continues to face online backlash from fans of Tory Lanez, despite his conviction for shooting Megan in 2020.
In a powerful comment on a post by legal creator @theluncheonlawyer — who slammed Lanez’s legal team for using the media to push claims of “new evidence” — SZA voiced her disbelief at the ongoing harassment Megan faces.
“The density. I’m actually SO shocked at the amount of people fully comfortable bullying a woman that’s proven to be a victim of assault — and doing it out loud, where everyone can see it?” she wrote.
Same claims, same tactics
Lanez’s attorneys, speaking just days after he was stabbed in prison, claimed a new witness has come forward, alleging that Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former best friend, was actually the shooter. But Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, dismissed the statement outright: “Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers. This is not a political matter — it’s a violent assault case that has been legally resolved.”
Megan claps back on TikTok
Still under constant scrutiny online, Megan Thee Stallion responded with frustration on TikTok: “At what point are y’all gonna stop making me relive being shot BY TORY?” she wrote. “You’ve been saying the same lies for years. The case is closed. FACTS ARE FACTS.” She ended her statement directly addressing Lanez: “You’re a demon. Leave me alone.”
SZA’s support is solidarity in action
By speaking up, SZA highlights the power of solidarity — especially between women in the music industry, where victims of violence are too often doubted, dismissed, or publicly dragged.
Her voice is a reminder: belief, support, and truth still matter — even in the loudest digital storms.
