Melanie opened up about the Spice Girls' talks about returning to the stage and wanting to perform at 'Glastonbury'.
Melanie C has revealed her 'absolute dream' is to see the Spice Girls back on stage with Victoria Beckham.

The Spice Girls have reunited without Victoria Beckham for a UK tour in 2019 and while the band, which also features Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, had an "incredible" time, they would like to tour as a five-piece again .

"They welcomed us so nicely, we had an incredible time. It was the moment we realized the impact we had on a whole generation of people," said Melanie C in the Saturday Review insert of the British newspaper The Times

"We really want to get back on stage, it's something we keep talking about. We just have to manage everyone's lives, work, families," he added.

When asked if the next reunion would involve Victoria, he replied: “That would be the absolute dream. The door is always open for Victoria, we would love to have her back. We're keeping our fingers crossed."

Melanie C also admitted that the Spice Girls would love to perform at the world famous 'Glastonbury' festival.

“Glastonbury is so magical and is the ultimate British festival without a doubt. It would be great to have the Spice Girls perform there one day. We would love to grace that stage," he said.

Meanwhile, Melanie admitted the sexism the Spice Girls faced in the early days of their career made them stronger and stressed they are "very proud" of their 'Girl Power' message.

"It motivated us because we knew we had something to prove. We came out naively as young women who wanted to make music and have fun, not knowing what we were in for," she explained.

"The Spice Girls gave us an amazing platform to change things. And we did. We opened doors for women," he noted.

"It wasn't just the Spice Girls – we were part of a wider movement – but we made feminism, which can seem academic and intimidating, more accessible to a young audience," she added.

"I feel very proud of our heritage. Girl power is about being strong, standing together and proving to the world that being a woman doesn't stop you from achieving anything your heart desires," said Melanie C.
