Spice Girls celebrate 25 years of "Wannabe" with a collectible EP and a new campaign

"We want to celebrate the 25th anniversary of 'Wannabe' by honoring our incredible fans," the Spice Girls say.
The Spice Girls announced their plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first single, "Wannabe", with the release of a new limited edition EP, inviting fans to share their memories of the band.

The EP "Wannabe25" will be released on July 9 and will give the public the opportunity to listen to three different versions of the 1996 single, including an unpublished demo of the song and a remix of Junior Vasquez.

Fans will also be able to listen to the entire unreleased song "Feed Your Love" for the first time, about five years after a short excerpt was leaked online.

The EP is available for pre-order here.

The #IAMASPICEGIRL campaign encourages Spice Girls fans to share photos and videos about the influence the female band has had on them.

The public can post their material on social networks with the hashtag #IAMASPICEGIRL, while all videos and messages can be sent via e-mail to [email protected]

"The Spice Girls belong to everyone and that's why we want to celebrate the 25th anniversary of 'Wannabe' by honoring our incredible fans," the group said of the campaign.

"We believe that there is a Spice Girl in all of us and we want you to come with us on a journey of memories! We want to see you sing with your heart, show your best dance moves and hear how we were inspired, influenced and excited ", explain the Spice Girls.

Last week, Emma Bunton unveiled the band's plans to perform a series of new shows as soon as the coronavirus pandemic subsides.

"We started talking about doing something more and then came the lockdown, which is a shame. I'm dying to do it again. I look forward to seeing what happens in the world. "You can not organize anything yet, so we are waiting for this moment, but I'm sure it will happen when we can!" He told Chris Moyles on Radio X.

The Spice Girls were reunited, without Victoria Beckham, in 2019 for a series of concerts in the UK and Ireland.
