Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre reveal release date for upcoming album

Snoop Dogg has officially announced the release date for his upcoming album, *Missionary*, produced by Dr. Dre. The eagerly awaited project is set to launch on December 13.

Snoop, whose birth name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., shared the news on Instagram with a video teaser. In the clip, two young Mormon missionaries knock on a door, only to be greeted by a woman in lingerie. She exclaims, “What the f**k? Your ad said you were dedicated to missionary work," prompting the missionaries to flee.

The post was simply captioned, "Missionary album drops 12.13. Produced by @drdre."

Back in August, Dr. Dre, 59, hinted that the album would reflect a new level of maturity in Snoop’s lyrics, paired with some of Dre’s finest music. “I feel like this is some of the best music I've done in my career,” he shared.

By November, Dre gave fans an update, saying, “I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16, so we have that (bumps fists) going on. I’m on song number 11 as far as the mixes go.”

Snoop, 53, first mentioned *Missionary* in 2022, initially aiming for a year-end release as a "30th anniversary to *Doggystyle*," another iconic album fully produced by Dr. Dre. Released in 1993, *Doggystyle* became the fastest-selling hip-hop album in history and is widely celebrated as one of rap’s greatest albums.
