Shakira has hinted that she is open to having a fling after she separated from her partner in 2022.
The Hips Don't Lie singer has told how she's not ready for a formal relationship, but would consider a casual fling.
"I'm not thinking about that. What space do I have for a man right now?" she said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "I think my kids would have to be very prepared for that, and their emotional and psychological well-being is the priority."
She added, "What can I tell you, I like men. That's the problem. I shouldn't like them with everything that's happened to me, but imagine how much I like men that I still like them. Hey, I'm not opposed to having friends."
Shakira, 47, split from long-term partner Gerard Pique, 37, in 2022. The couple had been together 11 years and share two sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, nine.
It was rumoured Gerard had cheated on her with his now girlfriend, Clara Chia, 26.
At the time of the split, Shakira was also involved in a tax evasion legal battle in Spain, and her grandfather suffered a bad fall.
Reflecting on that period of her life, she said, "the suffering I felt was probably the greatest I had ever experienced in my entire life, and it kept me from functioning at times. It felt like someone had stabbed a hole in my chest. And the sensation was so real, almost physical. I physically felt like I had a hole in my chest and that people could see through me."
Two years on, she's feeling more like herself.
"I got my swag back," she said. "And I got my sexy back."
