Selena Gomez: "Lose You to Love Me" made Taylor Swift cry

Selena Gomez recently shared that her heartfelt ballad Lose You to Love Me moved both Taylor Swift and her mother, Andrea Swift, to tears.

In a new interview with iHeartRadio, the 32-year-old singer and actress spoke about her long-standing friendship with the music superstar, revealing that she often seeks Taylor’s feedback before releasing her songs.

“She often tells me, ‘This is okay’ or ‘This is good.’ It’s very helpful,” Selena said, expressing her appreciation for her friend’s honest critiques.

She then recalled a particularly emotional moment they shared: “When I played her Lose You to Love Me before it was released, both she and her wonderful mother started crying. And then, I started crying too. It was a very sweet moment.”

Selena also mentioned that she has had the privilege of listening to some of Taylor’s unreleased music, but she has never found anything to critique. “I would never say, ‘This is a terrible song,’ because everything she creates is just incredible!” she said with admiration.

Currently, Selena is promoting her new album, I Said I Love You First, a collaboration with her fiancé and music producer, Benny Blanco.
