Post Malone has set a historic record and announced a new greatest hits collection.
Adding three more diamond songs to his credit, Post Malone sets a new record for the artist with the most diamond singles in the United States.
A total of eight Post Malone songs have gone diamond in the US market to date.
According to an April 20 announcement by Universal Music Group, "Circles," "Better Now" and "I Fall Apart" are the three newest Post Malone songs to go diamond, each having sold the equivalent of 10 million singles. .
Post Malone breaks the record previously held by Bruno Mars for the artist with the most diamond singles (6) in the US.
Also, Post Malone's collaboration with 21 Savage on "Sunflower" shares with Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" the record for the most platinum-selling song. Both songs are currently 17 times platinum.
The first song to go diamond in the US was Elton John's 'Something About The Way You Look Tonight / Candle In The Wind 1997' and to this day, the achievement remains relatively rare.
In February, Halsey's "Without Me" became the 100th diamond single in history.
Meanwhile, to celebrate his new career milestone, Post Malone has announced the release of 'The Diamond Collection', a greatest hits collection featuring all of his Diamond songs, as well as his new single 'Chemical' featuring – surprise Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones.
"Chemical" is the first song from Post Malone's upcoming fifth album.
His latest album was 'Twelve Carat Toothache' which was released in June 2022 and reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. His previous albums 'Hollywood's Bleeding' (2019) and 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' (2018) also reached both No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Post Malone's 'The Diamond Collection' will feature a total of 9 songs and will be released via Republic Records / Universal Music on April 21st.
