Olivia Rodrigo breaks another huge record on Spotify

October 01, 2022

Olivia Rodrigo has set another impressive record: She is the female artist with the most songs from a single album to break the one billion stream barrier on Spotify.

The 19-year-old pop star made history as 'Deja Vu' became the third song in a row from her album 'Sour' to surpass 1 billion on Spotify.

Both 'Drivers License' and 'Good 4 U' have also amassed over a billion streams on Spotify alone.

"Good 4 U" currently has 1.613 billion streams and is Olivia Rodrigo's song on the streaming service, while "Drivers License" has 1.584 billion streams.

Olivia Rodrigo's 11-song 'Sour' has amassed over 8 billion streams on Spotify and is the platform's most-streamed album by a female artist in 2022, despite being released more than a year ago in May of 2021.

Also, 'Sour' is the fastest album to reach 8 billion streams on Spotify, taking just 488 days to reach the milestone.

In second place on the relevant list is Post Malone's "Hollywood's Bleeding" (2019), which surpassed 8 billion streams after 646 days, followed by Dua Lipa's "Future Nostalgia (The Moonlinght Edition)" in third place with 731 days.

Olivia Rodrigo is set to very soon extend her all-time record for the female artist with the most songs from an album to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.

"Traitor" from her album "Sour" already has 950 million streams and is the most popular song by Olivia Rodrigo in the preferences of listeners on the Spotify platform right now.

It's worth noting that Olivia Rodrigo has a cumulative total of over 9 billion streams on Spotify, including her releases for Disney+'s 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' in which she starred for two seasons.

In the show's third season, which aired this summer, Olivia Rodrigo had a reduced role due to the professional commitments of her music career.
