Beyoncé Releases 'Break My Soul' Remixes

Four new remixes from will.i.am, Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon and Nita Aviance.
Beyoncé surprised her fans again by releasing an EP with four remixes of the song 'Break My Soul' from her new album 'Renaissance'.

The EP features reworked versions of 'Break My Soul' by Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, Chicago house legend Terry Hunter, global house queen Honey Dijon and New York producer/DJ Nita Aviance.

The four remixes further up the tempo of 'Break My Soul', which is Beyoncé's most danceable album to date.

The bouncy version by will.i.am. of the Black Eyed Peas strips 'Break My Soul' down to its most elemental beat, while Terry Hunter ups the tempo and transforms it into a dreamy house song with church instruments.

Nita Aviance's nearly ten-minute version adds trance elements that mesmerize as it stretches the song to twice its recorded length.

Honey Dijon's six-and-a-half minute remix adds a more aggressive beat and tribal drums to 'Break My Soul'.

Honey Dijon, who is credited with two other songs from "Renaissance" (on "Cozy" and "Alien Superstar"), thanked Beyoncé with an Instagram post for including her on her new album.

"Absolutely proud. Thank you Beyoncé for including me on this musical journey. I'm so honored and humbled to be a part of this masterpiece," Honey Dijon wrote, and also credited some of the other contributors for "all their hard work and support."

Aviance also praised Beyoncé for turning to house music culture on her new album.

"I can't put into words how I feel if I say I'm dumbfounded and honored," she wrote on Instagram. "And because I'm part of a project in which my big sisters and heroes Kevin Aviance and Honey Dijon participate," he continued.

“This album is for queens, dancefloor divas and all those who party late into the night. See you at the club", he said.
