"You can see the same thing being reborn in hundreds of different forms."
The Måneskin topped the charts worldwide when they adapted the Four Seasons '"Beggin'" hit from 1967 and say they will continue to do song covers because it is "one of the most beautiful things you can do".
The members of the Italian rock band spoke to NME about their music choices and referred to the covers of Britney Spears' "Womanizer", "Mr. Brightside "by The Killers and" Take Me Out "by Franz Ferdinand that they present when they appear live in concerts.
Their most successful cover, however, remains "Beggin", which was officially released by Måneskin and has garnered over one billion streams on Spotify to date.
"Beggin" has also dominated for a total of 8 weeks at No. 1 of the International Airplay Chart in Greece.
Måneskin singer Damiano David said his band "will always do covers" because "it's one of the best things you can do".
"When you write a song and then release it, it's no longer yours. "You have given it to everyone," he commented.

Damiano David also explained how Måneskin feel when other artists sing their songs.
"When other people sing our songs I am very proud, because they are so impressed with this song that they want to make their own version," he said.
"You can see the same thing being reborn in hundreds of different forms," he added.
Damiano David also sent a message to those urging the Måneskins to preserve their rock roots and honor the bands that preceded them.
"It's so silly and pointless to expect a band in their twenties to repeat what happened in the '70s and' 80s. "We are just trying to do something new that makes us feel satisfied and happy."
Måneskin have recorded another cover, which is expected to be released later this month. The band participates in the soundtrack of the movie "Elvis" with its own version of the song "If I Can Dream" by Elvis Presley.
A very brief taste of the cover was given during his appearance in the final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, on May 14th.
