5 Seconds of Summer releases the single "Me, Myself & I"

5 Seconds of Summer announced that their fifth album, entitled "5SOS5", will be released on September 23. This will be the first record that the pop / rock band will release as part of its new agreement with BMG.

The CD deluxe and digital versions of "5SOS5" will contain 19 songs, while the album will also be released on cassette and vinyl.

"5SOS5" will highlight the multifaceted artistic nature and development of the band during more than ten years of its course and its dynamic sound, which will be framed by thoughtful and inward lyrics.

Most of the new album has been written by 5 Seconds of Summer themselves, while the production was led by the band's guitarist, Michael Clifford.

"5SOS5" includes the new single "Me, Myself & I" as well as the already known singles "Take My Hand" and "Complete Mess", which were released recently, along with 16 more new songs.

Along with the announcement of the album, 5 Seconds of Summer releases the new single "Me, Myself & I".

The emotionally charged "Me, Myself & I" is a rushing song for a separation, which highlights the band's pop and punk influences with fierce riffs and an imposing refrain.

"Me, Myself & I" is signed by Jason Evigan (Maroon 5, Dua Lipa, David Guetta, Jason Derulo), Jon Bellion (Justin Bieber, Halsey, Lauv), Pete Nappi (Gayle, Madison Beer) and Mick Coogan (Charlotte Lawrence, Carlie Hanson). The music video for the song will premiere on Friday, May 13th.

"Me, Myself & I" made its world premiere on Zane Lowe's show on Apple Music, featuring an exclusive 5 Seconds of Summer interview for their new music and upcoming album.

"5SOS5" is the band's next album after 2020's "Calm", which featured successful singles such as "Easier" (platinum in the US and twice platinum in Australia) and "Teeth" (US gold and two times platinum in Australia).

In August 2021, 5 Seconds of Summer singer Luke Hemmings released his first solo album, "When Facing The Things We Turn Away From", topping the charts in his native Australia.
