Madonna and Ahlamalik Williams are "different places in their lives".
Madonna divorced her partner Ahlamalik Williams after three years of relationship.
The 63-year-old pop star ended her relationship with the 28-year-old dancer, as she concluded that their relationship had no future.
"Madonna has followed a busy social life and sees her friends and family after the separation. "She has a full schedule, she is working on her upcoming biographical film, her new music and she is taking care of her family," a source told Britain's The Sun newspaper.
"Her relationship with Ahlamalik has had its ups and downs for some time. "There is a lot of love, but for now they have decided to divorce," he revealed.
Ahlamalik Williams has left Madonna's house. The end titles in their relationship are due to the fact that they are currently at "different points in their lives".
"They still have good relationships and they do not hold a grudge, but they are in different phases in their lives. "They spent many months together on tour and in the lockdown, but now she has left her home," the source continued.
"As they both work on other things, it was difficult to keep their love alive," he explained.
Madonna appeared to comment on her rumored split with Ahlamalik Williams in a post on her Instagram account stories on Tuesday, posting an enigmatic quote about karma.
"Karma said: when someone in your life is not suitable for you…. God will use him constantly to hurt you until you become strong enough to let him go," he wrote.
In 2019, Ahlamalik Williams father Drue applauded his son's relationship with Madonna. However, he also noticed that the pop singer is two years older than him.
"She told us she was so in love with him and that we had nothing to worry about as she would take care of him," she said at the time.
"We know there is a huge age difference between them. Madonna is two years older than me. "I asked him how he felt about her and he told me he was never happier," he said.
