Ed Sheeran has revealed that he has written a song for the new BTS album.
Speaking on "Most Request Live" shortly after the release of his new single "Bad Habits", Ed Sheeran made a brief comment about his previous collaboration with the Korean band on "Make It Right" and announced that he has written another song. together with the BTS.
"I actually collaborated with BTS on their latest album and just wrote a song for their new album," he said.
"And they are also great, extremely great kids," he added.
In an unexpected move, the BTS record company confirmed the news with a simple statement to the South Korean media: "It is true that Ed Sheeran is on the new BTS song. "But we can not confirm the details," he said.
Ed Sheeran first collaborated with BTS on the song "Make It Right" from the EP "Map of the Soul: Persona" released in April 2019. In October 2019, "Make It Right" acquired a new remix with the participation of the American artist Lauv.
"Make It Right" was written by Ed Sheeran, Fred Gibson Benjy Gibson and Jo Hill and from the BTS side, the song was created by RM, Suga and J-Hope.
In a 2019 interview on Radio.com, RM described how the K-pop band's collaboration with Ed Sheeran on "Make It Right" came about.
"All of a sudden, he made a small reference to us on his Instagram. He said he liked our album. "Everyone was very happy because Ed said he liked our album," RM said.
