Alesso will feature in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final

Alesso will appear in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final alongside Anitta and Burna Boy.

Alesso will perform at the opening ceremony of this year's UEFA Champions League final and set his own pace at one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

The UEFA Champions League final will be played on Saturday 10 June at the Olympic Stadium in Istanbul between Manchester City and Inter Milan.

In addition to Alesso's appearance, Brazilian pop star Anitta and Nigerian singer Burna Boy will be singing on the pitch before the big match kicks off.

"Football and music have been two passions of mine since the early days of my life, so it's incredible that I'll be able to combine them both in such a big way," Alesso told Billboard of his upcoming performance at UEFA Champions League final.

"It was difficult to keep this announcement under wraps during the last months of preparation from all the teams, but finally we are here, ready to present this amazing show," continued the Swedish producer.

"I hope all football and music fans are ready to experience something they've never experienced before!" he said.

The Kick Off Show will be broadcast minutes before kick-off of the UEFA Champions League final at the Olympic Stadium in Istanbul to more than 200 countries and more than 350 million viewers.

This is not the first time that an artist from the field of electronic music will appear in the UEFA Champions League final.

In 2021 the final of the UEFA Champions League featured Marshmello, who used virtual and augmented reality to create a unique show in the midst of the pandemic. Marshmello was joined by Selena Gomez and Khalid.

At the final kick-off of last year's UEFA Champions League final at the Stade de France in Paris, Camila Cabello appeared.

Imagine Dragons in 2019 and Dua Lipa in 2018 have also appeared in the UEFA Champions League final.
