Drake appeared in the finale of 'Dave' alongside Brad Pitt

Drake Follows Lil Dicky's 'Dave' Series 'Religiously'

The season three finale of Lil Dicky's 'Dave' was a blockbuster with guest appearances from stars like Rachel McAdams, Brad Pitt and Drake, who called the show "one of the most important of our generation".

Assembling such a huge cast of stars sounds almost impossible, but Lil Dicky, who co-created the show, revealed to Rolling Stone how he managed to secure their participation in the 'Dave' finale.

"A man like Brad Pitt is not going to appear on a show that he doesn't think is one of the best shows," said the 35-year-old rapper and actor, whose real name is Dave Burd.

"Because I've released this series, it's a lot easier for a person of Brad's caliber to believe in it," he noted.

“I didn't have to move mountains to get Brad Pitt to appear in the series. I just knew that Brad Pitt really loved the show," she continued.

“And I knew Drake. When I met Drake, he told me that our series was one of the most important of our generation," he added.

Lil Dicky explained that while it was surprisingly easy to convince the three stars to appear on 'Dave', trying to find the right time in their busy schedules proved to be another challenge.

“So when I get feedback from these people, I think to myself that if I ask them to show up, maybe they'll say yes. And of course, it's a scheduling nightmare," he commented.

Lil Dicky also opened up about his friendship with Drake and revealed that one of the first times they bonded was hanging out in the studio with Kanye West.

After they met at a bar much later, Drake told Lil Dicky that he watches his series "religiously."

In the last episode of the third season of "Dave", Drake played a fictional version of himself who is involved in music and is the spiritual guide of the protagonist.

Brad Pitt and Rachel McAdams also appeared as themselves in the 'Dave' finale.
