Rita Ora is inspired by working with husband Taika Waititi

"I really respect him and admire his creative input."

Rita Ora has revealed how she felt about collaborating with husband Taika Waititi on the music video for her new song.

The 32-year-old singer appeared on Australian TV show 'The Project' on Monday (May 29) and talked about filming the music video for her new song 'Praising You', which was directed by Taika Waititi.

"We had a creative conversation first and I said, 'Well, can you do it?' and he said 'okay, fine' and it was so natural and everything was super easy," she explained about the process, as reported by Daily Mail Australia.

Rita Ora also noted that it was "easier" to work with someone she feels so comfortable with on set.

“It really helps a lot when you're that comfortable with someone. You know how to be yourself. And I'm driven and inspired by it," she commented of the Oscar-winning director, whom she married in 2022.

In the music video for 'Praising You', Rita Ora auditions with a group of dancers for their dream role.

Rita Ora guides the group through the disorganized choreography and slowly wins over the judges in an audition that turns into a spectacular number that recalls the days of the legendary club Studio 54 in New York with bright clothes and amazing choreography.

Fatboy Slim makes a brief appearance in the video, which is an ode to the 1999 Spike Jonze-directed music video for the original song "Praise You", on which "Praising You" is based.

Rita Ora has praised her 47-year-old husband Taika Waititi for creating a "fun" music video for her new single.

"You know what, I really respect him, I admire his creative input, and we ended up with a fun, not serious, video, a little bit like the original, like a regular dance party, that's it," he said at "The Project" panel.

Rita Ora is currently in Australia filming the new season of the local version of 'The Voice'.
