Zayn Malik wants to 'see where it goes' with his rumored relationship with Selena Gomez.
The British singer, who has a two-year-old daughter with ex-partner Gigi Hadid, has reportedly started dating the American pop star.
Although the two artists' relationship isn't "very serious" at the moment, Zayn thinks Selena Gomez is "amazing" and reportedly wants to see how their relationship develops.
“Zayn has known Selena for years and he definitely likes her. He's always admired her and thinks she's an incredible person, inside and out," a source told Us Weekly.
“Their relationship is not very serious and she is free to see other people. However, Zayn would love to continue seeing Selena and see where things go,” she asserted.
The source then explained that the former One Direction singer has been "focusing on himself" since splitting from Gigi Hadid in October 2021.
Still, Zayn is feeling "upbeat" about his future with Selena Gomez, though there's no "pressure" about the situation.
"He's been focusing on himself for the past few years and feels like he's ready to date again," the source added.
“He's feeling optimistic about the possibility of his relationship with Selena moving forward, but he's not putting any pressure on the situation. He prefers to let things develop organically and he thinks she feels the same way,” he explained.
Last week the internet was ablaze with rumors that Selena Gomez and Zayn were spotted kissing during their night out at a New York restaurant.
Eyewitnesses claimed, in fact, that the dinner between the two singers was "clearly" a date.
