Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK were invited to sing for Joe Biden and the president of South Korea

"We have received the invitation and are discussing the matter," BLACKPINK's agency confirmed.

Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK have been invited to sing at the White House.

According to a report by South Korean news site Korea JoongAng Daily, Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK have been invited to perform at the upcoming dinner for US President Joe Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol.

Yoon Suk-yeol is set to make an official visit to the US on April 26.

According to reports, a joint cultural event is planned to be held at the official dinner hosted by Joe Biden for the South Korean president, and the dinner will begin with an opening ceremony, in which Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK have been invited to perform.

YG Entertainment confirmed that the K-pop girl group has received an invitation: "We have received the invitation and are discussing the matter," a company representative told Korea JoongAng Daily.

Meanwhile, South Korean President Yoon's officials declined to comment on the matter, telling Yonhap news agency that "nothing has been decided yet about this particular cultural event."

It is worth noting that the invitation for BLACKPINK to perform at the official dinner between the president of the US and the president of South Korea conflicts with one of the scheduled concerts of the group's "Born Pink" world tour.

BLACKPINK is expected to visit Mexico City on April 26th, however they will be in the United States as they headline the California music festival 'Coachella' a few days earlier on April 15th and 22nd.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's Jisoo is set to become the fourth and final member of the group to release her own solo music. This Friday, March 31, her new single album titled "ME" and the music video for her song "Flower" will be revealed.

At the same time, Lady Gaga was seen last week in New York filming for the new movie "Joker: Folie à Deux", in which she will star in the role of Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix.

It is recalled that Lady Gaga has sung Joe Biden again. The pop star performed the US national anthem at the inauguration of the US president in January 2021.

If they do appear at the official dinner of the two presidents, this will not be the first meeting of Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK. In 2020, they collaborated on the song 'Sour Candy' on Lady Gaga's album 'Chromatica'.
