Demi Lovato breathes new life into 'Heart Attack' with a sound that reflects her career today.
Demi Lovato shares her rock version of her hit 'Heart Attack' to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the original song's release.
"Heart Attack" was released on 25 February 2013 and was the lead single from her fourth album, "Demi", which followed that year.
Demi Lovato entered the studio and re-recorded "Heart Attack" and completed the song with a revamped production by Warren "Oak" Felder and Mitch Allan, who produced the original song.
'Heart Attack' features Demi Lovato's struggle with love and her fear of being hurt again. The song's lyrics liken the physical and emotional symptoms of love to a "heart attack".
Considered one of Demi Lovato's most signature songs, the quadruple-platinum hit "Heart Attack" achieved international success, reaching the top ten on many charts around the world, including the Billboard Hot 100.
The rock version of "Heart Attack" bridges the past with the present of Demi Lovato, who changes the pop sound that made her famous and explores new - but not so unknown for her - musical fields.
Demi Lovato thanked her fans in a message for the fact that 'Heart Attack' continues to be a favorite to this day.
"I'm so happy to be able to breathe new life into 'Heart Attack' with a sound that reflects where I am now with my music," she said.
“This is for the fans who have shown so much love to the song over the past decade, thank you for following me!” he continued.
Demi Lovato first performed a rock version of the song during her 2022 Holy Fvck Tour, which was held to promote her album of the same name.
On 'Holy Fvck', Demi Lovato returned to her rock and pop-punk roots with songs like '29', 'Substance' and 'Skin Of My Teeth' and collaborations with artists like YUNGBLUD, Royal & The Serpent and Dead Sara.
The album debuted at No. 1 on three different Billboard charts: for Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums.
