"I don't think it's fair to ever put someone in that situation."
Kim Kardashian sometimes worries about her future relationships being scared off by her "difficult" ex-husband Kanye West.
During her appearance on the 'Angie Martinez IRL' podcast, Kim Kardashian addressed her relationship with Pete Davidson amid her divorce from Kanye West, the father of her four children.
Pete Davidson was frequently attacked on social media by the rapper during his relationship with Kim Kardashian from October 2021 to August 2022.
"It was just something very new. I didn't know what it's like to meet new people for so long. I was in a relationship for almost 15 years, 12 years, something like that,” she said.
"I don't know, there's a part of me that thinks, 'Oh my God, is everyone going to be scared because I don't have the easiest ex?'" she confessed.
"I don't think it's fair for me to ever put someone in that situation or bring in a new person who could be completely innocent... But then there's a side of me that says, 'why do I have to live like this?'" he continued.
Kim Kardashian said that she is having fun right now, but hopes that the "perfect person" will come along who will be able to handle all the difficulties she is facing.
"I don't know if I will get married again, but I will have a permanent partner. I know this. He will definitely come. I've calmed down and I'm going to have fun until that happens,” he said.
Kim Kardashian noted that she's been "tested a lot this year" by Kanye West's online outbursts, but added that she's learned to "hold back" because she doesn't want to get into an online feud.
She also stated that she feels free and has a "deep sense of calm" so "it's not worth wasting my energy trying to fend off every ridiculous thing that's said about me, even if it's from the person who was closest to me."
Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021. The couple reached a divorce settlement last November.
