Michael Jackson: Footage from Sega's Lost Game Featuring the Singer Surfaces

Michael Jackson appeared in the role of narrator in the video game.

Rare footage of a live-action Sega video game starring Michael Jackson that was thought to be lost has surfaced.

The 1993 game called "Scramble Training" was a cross between an arcade shooter and an interactive ride created for the Sega World theme parks, and was narrated by Michael Jackson, who guided the players.

In the game, players take on the role of new pilots on a training mission with their eight-man spaceship. Their trainer, Governor Jackson (Michael Jackson), guides them during the mission.

Michael Jackson had a long-standing relationship with the Japanese video game developer, and it was the inspiration for Sega's 'Moonwalker' franchise based on the singer's film of the same name.

Earlier this year, former Sonic Team head Yuji Naka also confirmed that Michael Jackson had composed the music for 'Sonic The Hedgehog 3'.

Now, the lost footage from "Scramble Training" is available to watch on YouTube after it resurfaced through a videotape unearthed at a private second-hand sale in the UK, according to gaming blog Gaming Alexandria .

The original master videotape, marked "Sega AS-1 (Michael Jackson Vers)", was sold by the relative of a deceased former employee of Sega Amusement Europe.

A group of Sega friends and the Oxford Duplication Center then archived and uploaded to YouTube the content from the videotape, which included an audio recording in English and Japanese.

According to information, this is the first known copy of "Michael Jackson in Scramble Training", and the game is still considered lost.

The game was released in March 1993 and was often found in the company's flagship arcades such as Joypolis and SegaWorld.

Originally it was simply called "Scramble Training". Jackson's appearances were added to the ridefilm after its completion and the game was subsequently titled "Michael Jackson in Scramble Training".

However, after the singer was accused of sexual abuse in 1993, the game was re-released under its original name, with Michael Jackson's appearances completely removed.
