The doll features the look of Tina Turna from the 'What's Love Got To Do With It' music video.
Tina Turner is getting her own Barbie doll. Mattel released the doll in the image of the iconic singer as part of its Barbie Signature Music Series.
"I am honored to welcome my Barbie to the group of pioneering women already represented and bringing more children into my story," said Tina Turner.
The Tina Turner Barbie doll costs $55 and was released in honor of the singer's 1984 hit "What's Love Got To Do With It," which is soon to be 40 years old.
The doll features the iconic Tina Turner look from the music video for 'What's Love Got To Do With It' in a black mini dress, short denim jacket, fishnet tights and black heels.
It also features Turner's signature bouffant blonde hair and other details like the pearl earrings and silver necklace she wore in the music video.
"What's Love Got To Do with It" gave Tina Turner her first and only solo No. 1 of her career on the Billboard Hot 100 and became her biggest hit since her fifth solo album, Private Dancer (1984).
The song topped the Hot 100 for three weeks and won three Grammy Awards: for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Performance.
"What's Love Got To Do With It" was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Tina Turner has long since retired from the music industry and spends most of her life outside the US.
In recent years the impact and legacy has been celebrated by the Tony Award-winning musical 'Tina: The Tina Turner Musical', which has been playing strongly since 2018, and last year Turner spoke about her life in the HBO documentary 'Tina'.
In addition to the Tina Turner Barbie doll, Gloria Estefan, David Bowie and Elvis Presley dolls have been released as part of the Barbie Signature Music Series.
