The new Netflix movie 'Do Revenge' starring Camilla Mendes and Maya Hawke is taking social media by storm and we have Taylor Swift to thank.
Combining the talents of Camila Mendes of "Riverdale" and Maya Hawke of "Stranger Things," the dark comedy "Do Revenge" tells the Hitchcockian story of two teenage students at a prestigious private school who conspire to get revenge on the people who wronged them. .
The film's director, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, confirmed speaking to E! News that 'Do Revenge' is a tribute to Taylor Swift's 2017 album 'Reputation'.
"There's a lot of 'Reputation' in the movie... There's the energy of the snake emoji," he said.
Robinson also hopes that Taylor Swift has watched "Do Revenge," which is currently the second most popular movie on the Netflix platform.
“I hope she likes it,” Robinson said, adding that the score was written” by Taylor Swift's good friend Este Haim of the band HAIM.

This isn't the first time that Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Taylor Swift have been inspired by each other.
When Taylor watched Robinson's movie 'Someone Great' in 2019, she wrote the song 'Death By A Thousand Cuts', which was included on her album 'Lover' which was released the same year.
"Do Revenge" star Maya Hawke has also drawn inspiration from Taylor Swift. She recently revealed that her upcoming sophomore album, Moss, is influenced by the 32-year-old singer's 2020 album Folklore.
