On Friday August 5, the 28-year-old Irishman and 25-year-old Scotsman set up with a guitar and a microphone on the Grafton Street shopping street in Dublin city centre, surprising passers-by.

The crowd gathered around Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi who were joined by fellow singer and frequent Dublin street musician Jacob Koopman.

Niall Horan picked up his guitar to sing, among other things, his 2017 solo hit 'Slow Hands'.

'Cause I want you so much / Yes, I want you, baby / Slow, slow hands / Like the sweat dripping down our dirty clothes / No, no chance / Of leaving here without you on me / I, I know / Yes, I already know there's no stopping / Your plans and these / Slow hands,” Horan and Capaldi sang together on the chorus, with the help of the audience.

Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi, accompanied by Jacob Koopman on guitar – also sang other well-known songs, including Coldplay's 'Yellow' and Capaldi's 'Before You Go'.

Jacob Koopman frequently records on his YouTube channel his performances on the streets of Dublin and had performed 'Before You Go' live in July 2021.

After the excitement-filled day, the singer expressed in a post on his Instagram stories his surprise that he got to perform with Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi.

"Can't believe I just played down the road with Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan," he captioned a photo of himself smiling.
