A worldwide listening party for Metallica's new album in cinemas.
Metallica are excited to extend an open invitation to their fans around the world to a global listening party for the release of their twelfth album '72 Seasons'.
For one night only, on Thursday April 13, Metallica's new album '72 Seasons' will be played in its entirety in thunderous surround sound, exclusively for cinema audiences around the world, with each of the new songs accompanied by its own music video and exclusive commentary from the band.
The result will provide an unforgettable night for fans, who will enjoy Metllalica's '72 Seasons' for the first time in its entirety, on the eve of its release on April 14th.
Tickets for '72 Seasons – Global Premiere' will be available from Thursday 2nd March at metallica.film along with more information on the cinemas taking part in the event.
'72 Seasons' will be released on April 14 via Metallica's Blackened Recordings label. As precursors to the record, the brand new song "Screaming Suicide" and its new lyric video, as well as the first single "Lux Æterna", have already been released.
Metallica's upcoming new album, produced by Greg Fidelman with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, features 12 songs and is over 77 minutes long. '72 Seasons' is Metallica's first record of new material since 2016's 'Hardwired…To Self-Destruct'.
Metallica and Trafalgar Releasing join forces once again with the world premiere of '72 Seasons'.
They have already collaborated on the October 2019 worldwide theatrical release of Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M², a film that chronicled the reunion of Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original concerts and releases. Metallica will embark on the 'M72' world tour later this year. During 'M72' the band will play two consecutive concerts in each city they visit, with each 'No Repeat Weekend' featuring two completely different setlists and support lineups.
The 'M72' tour will feature a stunning new in-the-round stage design that brings the famous Metallica Snake Pit to the center of the stage, as well as the I Disappear full-tour pass and more.
A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold will go to Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation.
AWMH was founded in 2017 and its efforts to help and enrich the lives of members of the communities it supports have raised nearly $13 million.
The foundation has provided $5.9 million in grants to vocational and technical education programs in the U.S., more than $2.5 million to fight food insecurity, and more than $3.2 million to disaster relief efforts around the world .
