Madonna Announces 'The Celebration Tour'


Madonna celebrates four decades of career.

Madonna announced on Tuesday, January 17, the schedule of a new world tour with which she will celebrate four decades of hits.

Titled 'The Celebration Tour', the tour was announced via a raunchy five-minute video that pays homage to her iconic 1991 documentary 'Truth or Dare'.

The video brings to our screens an adults-only dinner featuring Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob the Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter, Eric Andre and Amy Schumer.

Truth or Dare; Madonna rarely avoided the latter. During the video, the guests challenge the singer: "I challenge you to do a world tour and play your greatest hits."

Madonna's new tour will visit 35 cities and will be produced by Live Nation.

'The Celebration Tour' will kick off in North America on July 15th with a first stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada and continue on to Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas and San Francisco, before concluding the North American leg in Las Vegas on October 7.

Madonna's tour will then move to Europe. The European leg of 'The Celebration Tour' will kick off with a concert at London's The O2 Arena on October 14th and conclude at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome on December 1st.

"I'm excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes of giving my fans the show they've been waiting for," Madonna said in an announcement about the tour, which will span four decades of her music career while also scoring tribute to New York, where her musical journey began.

Bob the Drag Queen will be a special guest at all the concerts of "The Celebration Tour".

Madonna's last tour was the 'Madame X Tour' which took place in theaters in 2019 – 2020 to promote her album of the same name. The tour encountered many difficulties due to production delays and Madonna's repeated hip and knee injuries.
