Liam Gallagher on Oasis rehearsals: “It’s like we never split”

After 16 years apart, Oasis is back—and Liam’s already fired up

The countdown is officially on. In just 30 days, Oasis will take the stage at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, kicking off their first tour in over a decade and a half. And if Liam Gallagher’s social media feed is anything to go by, he’s already in full Oasis mode—sass, swagger, and all.

On Tuesday, June 3, Liam didn’t hold back on X (formerly Twitter):
“We have LIFT OFF Rastas sounded f–king FILTHY,” he posted, oozing confidence. And when a fan asked if he was feeling nervous about the big return, his response was pure Liam:
“No reason to be.”

Asked if the band sounds incredible again, he shot back with his usual brevity:
“Cmon.”
Another follower asked what it felt like playing with the band again after all this time. His answer?
“SPIRITUAL.”
As for the rehearsals?
“BIBLICAL.”

No Time for Tears—There’s Work to Do

When a fan wondered if reuniting with his old bandmates after so many years was emotional, Liam responded in classic Gallagher fashion:
“No time for emotions—we’ve got a lot of ground to cover.”

And in true unpredictable Liam style, the next day he dropped this cryptic gem:
“MOISTIFICATION for the NATION.”
When asked what his greatest asset was, he replied dryly:
“My arse.”
And when someone probed about the number of songs they rehearsed that day, he coolly replied:
“69.”

The Tour Is On—and It’s Global

Oasis will kick off their tour in the UK this July, before heading to North America in August, with stops in Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, Pasadena, and Mexico City. The band will then hit Asia and Australia in the fall, before wrapping up the year in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil this November.

So far, no festival appearances have been confirmed. But when asked about a possible return to the legendary Knebworth Festival, Liam left the door open:
“We’ll see how the tour goes. If we’re still in love with each other by the end…”

Familiar Faces Return—Sort Of

Andy Bell, Gem Archer, and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs are all expected to take part in the tour. Rumors also suggest Joey Waronker (of Beck and R.E.M. fame) might be joining on drums.
